Asya was a mother from the village of Pîran in the region of Qilabana Şirnexê . Like many other Kurdish mothers, in 1994 Mother Asya, due to the oppression and cruelty of the Turkish state, was forcibly displaced by Turkish guards and became a refugee in Southern Kurdistan (Northern Iraq). From the year 1994 until the day that she was hit and martyred by Turkish warplanes, she went through many difficult and painful experiences. But in the face of all of these difficulties, Mother Asya was a patriotic woman who was much loved by the community of the camp.
